Annual COPE Authorization Cards

For years in local 275 we have had a voluntary Committee on Political Education (COPE) checkoff on our referrals and auto deducted from paychecks. The contribution is $0.05 per hour, or roughly $2 per week. Anyone that has received a referral in the past decade or so has seen this authorization included on the referral. By law, we are required to renew these annually to continue, or start, the deduction. You can download the authorization card below, then print, sign, and send in. You can also request one from the union hall. This is a voluntary contribution to the COPE fund. These are the funds the local union utilizes to support our friends that are seeking elected office. Without these funds our influence and ability to ensure that labor friendly candidates win elections is greatly restricted.
