We offer a 4 year Residential program as well as a 5 Year Inside (Industrial) program. Our apprentices are assigned to a signatory contractor and work in the field under the supervision and training of licensed journeyman. They also attend school one full day every two weeks an average of 20 days per year between September and June. They study subjects such as electrical theory, blueprint reading, conduit bending, motor control, solar photovoltaics, instrumentation, and many more. Upon completion of the program apprenitces may qualify for over 50 credits of recommended college credits from the American Council on Education (ACE). You can find more information at www.njatc.org.
The work is phyiscally demanding, and can require you to work in all types of weather and conditions. You must be able to work as part of a team, and be comfortable moving from task to task and from job to job. The school work is very demanding, and requires an equal amount of time out of class as in the classroom.
